So I found out last night from mike that they did not get any assistance from the online organizations we applied for to get diabetes supplies at a lower cost or for free. I do not feel to bad because we have one from the federal government already, but I am a little worried because that grant will not cover everything mike needs for his dad. I am still confident that he will get something from the state but I cannot help but worry now. I am thinking it could go either way because I pretty much used the same rhetoric with most of the proposals and it worked for one and not the other. It is a total toss up, so again, we wait. In other news in my life, I hate winter. I am so sick of waking up with cold feet, having to wear layer after layer of clothing and stepping outside my door to a cold blast of air every morning. And my gas bill is ridiculous. We keep the heat as low as we can with out freezing to death and it was still three hundred and something dollars last month. My roommate and I are beyond ourselves with what to do. I guess we will have to stick it out, but it sucks because we are paying for heat, and we are not even warm.
